Ever wonder why there are school rules? Do you know that school rules are very important to maintain the school image? That is the reason why the principal wants the student to abide the school rules, to prevent the students for ruining the school images. So that other people could not have bad impression on the school such as thinking the student are lack of discipline or the teachers have no ability at handing the student. Do you know that how much truancy and late coming cases are there in school? With the school rules as guide, everything could just come in control. People who play truant and late for school are not showing the school respect, and it is totally unfair for people who come to school early. So these people ought to be punished and gradually there is the school rules set to follow as principle and guides. With the school rules, students would than pay more attention to their behavior, attire and appearance lest breaking the rules and being punished. What could the outsiders think of the school, if the student dyed their hair, dress up fancifully and even smoke in the public area with their school uniform on. If a student wearing the school uniform misbehaved outside school, hanging around the void deck, shopping mall and areas, not going home. People could think that the school does not bother to care for the student and maintaining the school policies.
I think that it is alright to have school rules to control the discipline of students. So that the students would not bring embarrass to the school, and people would have good impressions on the school. If a student behaves herself and conduct herself well, there is no reason for she to be affect by the school rules. Meaning school rules usually comes in use when the students misbehave or does something that is consider breaking the school rules. No matter how strict the school rules are, if we conduct ourselves well, we could just treat it as if it does not exist.
Therefore no matter how strict and harsh the school rules are, it is not a problem unless we do something against the rights.
